Timmy Gecer - Rugby player

I began playing rugby at around U15s at school, Isleworth and Syon and my local club, London Scottish, which my PE teacher was also a coach at. Since then I've been playing for both the club and school side. My core skills and abilities excelled at U16 level, which allowed me to trial and be selected for Middlesex County Rugby, which accompanies my school and club season.

Unfortunately COVID wiped out a lot of the U17 season, with no school or county matches and only one club match. Luckily I was picked up by Ealing Trailfinders at the start of the U17 season and was able to gain valuable training and access to facilities. We were lucky to get two games in near the end of the season.

The U18 season rolled by and club and school rugby was in full swing. It came to that time of the season where players trial for their local county. I was selected to play for Middlesex and had a successful campaign. These matches were assessed by England assessors to identify any talent. Luckily I was invited to England Counties and took part in rugby education, divisional matches and training.

Soon after, I was invited to pre season with the mens pro First XV at London Scottish for the 22/23 season.

Aims & Goals

My aims and goals are to further develop my game to the best of my ability and play to the highest standard possible. I plan to play at university in BUCS Super Rugby and maintain involvement with London Scottish. I do also plan on taking up any other opportunities that may come my way and could benefit me and my sporting development.

Overall, I am looking to keep growing and working on my trade as a prop. Players in my position have a later prime time in their career compared to others, so I have to remain patient.
