Stuart Robinson - Wheelchair Rugby Player
About
Athlete, veteran, public speaker.
Injured whilst serving in Afghanistan with in 2013, I sustained life changing injuries and and a result my career within the Royal Air Force was cut short.
I decided to put my active and sporting ability to the test and became involved in the invictus games in 2014 with wheelchair rugby and came away with a gold medal. This ignited the fire within and the rollercoaster ride of playing elite level sport began. I went on to compete at two more invictus games winning a further silver and bronze medal.
I then moved onto Great Britain wheelchair rugby and was fortunate enough to be selected for the elite squad and went on to win two more gold medals at the European championships in 2018 and 2019.
The eyes were fully on Tokyo 2020 and the squad was ready to take on the world. A tough tournament but again; GB came out on top with another gold medal, GB and Europe’s first ever medal!
I continue to grow professionally, speaking and inspiring the corporate and educational sector, showcasing the resilience and determination I have become accustomed to whilst overcoming adversity and tough life changing decisions.
Aside from rugby, I visit the gym regularly, have handbiked from Paris to London and around the Isle of Man TT course and continue to push myself to grow and become a better Version of myself.
