Russ Horsley - Football Coach

About

I started my coaching career as a teenager working my way through the various levels of coaching qualifications when i was unable to pursue a playing career.

During my career i have worked in The UK, Spain, Cyprus, Gibraltar and Bulgaria, and visited so many more countries

I have worked for many professional clubs in a variety of roles ranging from Academy Coach to Technical Director. I have also worked for The FA in England as a National Football Development officer and as a Coach Educator. I was also lucky enough to be employed as The International Football Academy Manager for NIKE.

I have also used my coaching skills to secure jobs managing sports departments in three colleges of FE and one university centre, were i actually co wrote a degree in Football Studies which was validated and is now available globally.

I am fortunate to have created the career i have as it combines my two greta passions sport and travel, it has provided me opportunities to travel to all parts of the world and to build a network of friends and contacts.

Outside of my work i am an avid reader, love listening to music and enjoy a good movie. Most importantly however i am a lover of wildlife and animals.

Aims & Goals

My career aims are to build a global network of football academies that help young players to progress their careers, development and reach their full potential hopefully earning a professional career.

I also aim to own my own professional football club in Europe, that i aim to use as a platform to showcase young players.

I also aim to work across different sports especially rugby having previously developing a partnership with leading rugby club Leicester Tigers

I have worked with many young players who have progressed into professional careers including players who have gone onto represent their countries at full international level – now i want to help many more.

I am pleased to be involved in the CirQula project as i believe sport desperately needs an ethical safe social media platform to promote player talent, in my opinion CirQual provides exactly that and provides a platform where talent can safely share their story and promote themselves to their genuine fans. I also want to use the platform to unite my genuine FANS / followers in one secure place.
