Michele Forgione - Golfer

Golf for me started when I was very young, at two years old I picked up my first club and fell in love. I come from a huge golfing family and Sundays are when we would all get together to play, so competition came naturally - nobody wanted to lose. From then I went on to represent my country all over the world as an amateur and now a professional. The journey in professional sport is demanding but rewarding, it's a game you have to dedicate your life to in the pursuit of greatness. I think the great Arnold Palmer said it perfectly. I quote, "golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated".

My hobbies include any type of racing, I love go-karting, rally driving and track racing. It's the thrill of being behind a wheel and going as fast as you can, completely different to golf.

On my down time I enjoy family time, just eating and drinking catching up with friends and family. Life can be so fast paced that it's nice to just slow down and enjoy the moment.

Aims & Goals

My aim is to make it to the top 50 in the world rankings and stay there. To be able to play in all the majors and compete against the best of the best in the biggest events in the world, that’s what all the hard work is for.

A big goal of mine is to create a platform where I can help juniors prepare for professional golf, I’d like to be able to give them the advice and guidance I wish I could have given to my younger self. This includes everything they would need to give them the best opportunity at success, from coaching, nutrition, funding to where they need to play and compete. These are things I wish I had as a junior and young adult and now I have the experience I would love to give back to the game in that way.
