Gabriella Cowley - Golf
About
I was first introduced to golf around the age of 13. Prior to this I had played all sports including football and country cricket but then one day my Dad asked me if I wanted to come to golf with him and I got the bug from there.
By the time I was 15 I was the Under 15 girls champion and also won the Scottish Girls Championship in the same year.
The following year I won the England Girls Order of Merit and I then received the great honour of representing Team GB at the Youth Olympics in Sydney.
This was my first taste of representing England as I went on to play in both the girls and ladies teams on numerous occasions, even representing GB & Ireland in the Vagliano Trophy in 2013 and then the Curtis Cup in St. Louis in 2014.
When I turned 18 I also turned professional with a handicap of +4.5. This is when I started on the feeder tours and built my way up to the Ladies European Tour. Whilst I am still searching for my first win on the ladies tour, I have enjoyed four, top 10 win’s.
During the pandemic I adopted a more focused approach on my health and fitness which led me to win 4 of the Rose Series Ladies Events which were set up during the same time. This has motivated me to work even harder so I can achieve that European tour win soon.
