Growing up with two older brothers meant that I played a lot of sport in my free time. From a young age, I loved sport and knew early on that I wanted to play sport professionally. Follow your passion! I played a lot of football and represented Watford girls academy for 2 years at under 10 level, as well as playing for a local boys team and a local girls team.
Additionally I played for the local cricket team and then got selected to represent the Hertfordshire county cricket team. I lived for sport, but it was tennis that I fell most in love with. After being selected for East region training squad, Herts county training and training at a High Performance Centre in St Albans, I realised that it was tennis that I wanted to pursue.
I recognise that I am very privileged to play tennis professionally, in getting to experience everything that comes with it. Tennis has taken me to 4 continents, and over 20 countries. Experiencing different cultures and meeting people from all over the world is probably my favourite thing about tennis (aside from the playing!)
Whilst I am competing and training, I am also completing an online degree in Psychology (BSc) with the Open University. Psychology has been an interest of mine for many years, after studying it at A Level, and is very insightful and useful for my career.
